UU Innovations uppgift är att stärka både universitetet och samhället genom ökat nyttiggörande av kunskap vid Uppsala universitet. Tillsammans med andra delar av universitetet arbetar UU Innovation med samverkan i olika former i syfte att föra samman akademin med näringsliv och offentlig verksamhet för ömsesidig kunskapsöverföring.

I mars startar UU Innovation en ny omgång av kursen immaterialrätt och kommersialisering som riktar sig till doktorander, postdoktorer och forskare vid Uppsala universitet. Kursen ges i samarbete med Patent- och registreringsverket, PRV och omfattar fyra halvdagsseminarier. Anmälan är öppen. UU Innovation stöttar forskare och studenter i att utveckla och implementera nyskapande produkter, tjänster och metoder till nytta för samhället.
